The 24-inch measurement describes the connector, not the assembled kit's overall envelope. Valve and sediment-trap placement depend on the installation.
Have a qualified gas installer verify the exact heater, fuel, supply pressure and connection requirements before installation. Follow the heater's instructions and applicable codes; this is not a universal appliance connection kit. Heater and pressure regulator are not included.
