Compatibility & Installation

  • Outdoor use only; never leave the grill operating unattended.
  • Select the fuel configuration that matches the supply. A qualified installer must verify the rating plate, regulator, gas connections, ventilation and required clearances.
  • Use the installation manual and actual appliance to confirm the opening before fabrication. A matching TrueFlame insulating jacket is required in a combustible surround.
  • Minimum side and rear wall clearances: 2 inches to noncombustible walls; 10 inches to protected combustible walls built as shown in the manual; 14 inches to combustible walls.
  • Allow at least 5 feet between the countertop and overhead construction. Combustible overhead construction requires an exhaust hood larger than the cooking area, with a blower delivering at least 1,000 CFM to the outdoors; never operate beneath unprotected combustible overhead construction. A hood is highly recommended beneath noncombustible overhead construction.
  • Where enclosure ventilation openings are used, provide at least 40 sq. in. of combined free area across at least two openings. Follow the manual for fuel-specific placement and unobstructed airflow; decorative vent dimensions are not the same as free ventilation area.
  • The illuminated knob position is not proof of a flame or gas flow; visually confirm ignition as directed in the manual.
