Key Features

  • 4 heat-zone separator plates help divide the 5-burner cooking area.
  • Piezo ignition and manual flash-tube lighting are specified by the manufacturer.
  • Interior halogen lights illuminate the grate, while an LED bar and backlit control knobs light the front panel.
  • A balanced hood hinge and knurled handle make the cooking area accessible.
  • The warming rack includes a removable inset cooking tray.

  • Natural gas model: TF40; liquid propane model: TF40L.
  • Main burner input: 14,000 BTU per burner; 70,000 BTU combined main-burner input.
  • Manufacturer-listed cooking surface: 892 sq. in. This is the published cooking-surface figure, not a separately verified primary-grate measurement.
  • Construction: 304 stainless steel.
  • Configuration: built-in outdoor gas grill.
  • Rear infrared burner: 10,000 BTU; the matching rotisserie kit is sold separately.

Dimensions

  • Manufacturer-listed overall dimensions: 39.75 in. W × 25.5 in. D × 21.75 in. H.
  • Manufacturer-listed cutout: 38.25 in. W × 20.75 in. D × 8.25 in. H.
  • Nominal grill size is a model designation; use the listed overall and opening dimensions when planning the island.

Compatibility & Installation

  • Outdoor use only; never leave the grill operating unattended.
  • Select the fuel configuration that matches the supply. A qualified installer must verify the rating plate, regulator, gas connections, ventilation and required clearances.
  • Use the installation manual and actual appliance to confirm the opening before fabrication. A matching TrueFlame insulating jacket is required in a combustible surround.
  • Minimum side and rear wall clearances: 2 inches to noncombustible walls; 10 inches to protected combustible walls built as shown in the manual; 14 inches to combustible walls.
  • Allow at least 5 feet between the countertop and overhead construction. Combustible overhead construction requires an exhaust hood larger than the cooking area, with a blower delivering at least 1,000 CFM to the outdoors; never operate beneath unprotected combustible overhead construction. A hood is highly recommended beneath noncombustible overhead construction.
  • Where enclosure ventilation openings are used, provide at least 40 sq. in. of combined free area across at least two openings. Follow the manual for fuel-specific placement and unobstructed airflow; decorative vent dimensions are not the same as free ventilation area.
  • The illuminated knob position is not proof of a flame or gas flow; visually confirm ignition as directed in the manual.
  • When using the rotisserie, do not operate the rear infrared burner and the main burners at the same time.
