This legacy PHI-21-G1 system combines hot-surface ignition with electronic flame monitoring, so you can enjoy the fire without lighting the burner by hand.

This listing is for the 12-VAC PH-IGNITE generation. Have your installer confirm the fire feature, fuel setup and power supply before ordering.

  • Item reference: PH-IGNITE. Documented system model: PHI-21-G1.
  • Appliance supply: 12 VAC, 60 Hz, minimum 5,000 mA from the specified transformer. Never connect 120 VAC directly to the appliance.
  • Documented transformer input: 120 VAC, 60 Hz. Use the manufacturer-specified isolating low-voltage supply; the manual states that a transformer is not provided for pool applications.
  • Documented gas configurations: natural gas at 7 inches water column or propane at 11 inches water column, with the correct fuel-specific burner and pilot orifices.
  • PHI-21-G1 gas input in the referenced manual: 85,000 BTU/hr for either documented fuel configuration. This is not a universal rating for every Prism fire feature.

Dimensions

  • Control-box, connection and heat-shield layout drawings are provided in Section 2.2 of the manufacturer manual. Use these component drawings with the exact fire feature installation plan; they are not overall dimensions for a complete fire pit.
  • The PHI-21-G1 manual recommends clearances to combustible surfaces of 4 ft at the sides and 6 ft above. The installer must also follow the exact fire feature instructions and applicable local requirements.

Compatibility & Installation

  • For outdoor use only. Carbon monoxide from this gas appliance can be fatal in an enclosed space; never use it indoors, in a camper or in a vehicle.
  • Installation and service require qualified professionals, including a licensed or certified electrician for electrical work. Follow the complete manual and applicable gas and electrical codes, including the requirements specific to any pool installation.
  • Confirm the exact fire feature and ignition generation with Prism Hardscapes before installation. Do not assume fit or interchangeability based only on the brand name.
  • Use a level, solid mounting surface with proper anchoring, drainage and unobstructed ventilation. Keep the pilot hood and burner openings clear as directed in the manual.
  • Use only the specified natural gas or propane configuration. Do not use wood or other solid fuels, and do not use the fire feature for cooking.
  • Do not operate in windy or rainy conditions, or ignite wet fire media. Keep children, pets and combustible materials away from the fire feature.
  • Never leave an operating fire feature unattended. Switch it off after use, allow it to cool before covering, and wait at least 5 minutes before each relighting.
  • Inspect before use and arrange annual service by a qualified gas technician. Do not alter the system or substitute unapproved parts.
