Keep clear ice close to the drinks station with the Summit BIM47OS. Its stainless steel cabinet, front ventilation and internal drain pump suit a sheltered outdoor kitchen or undercounter installation with the required utilities and clearances.

This listing describes the legacy 50-lb-per-day, R134a configuration shown in the gallery and documented in Summit's 2024 model specifications. It is distinct from the later R290 revision sold under the same model name.

  • Produces up to 50 lb of clear ice in 24 hours and holds up to 25 lb. Actual output varies with air and water temperatures and installation conditions.
  • Approximately ⅞-inch cubes form in sheets that separate with the included scoop.
  • Internal drain pump supports flexible drain placement; a suitable drain connection is still required.
  • Automatic defrost and a touch-control panel with operating and bin-full indicators.
  • Stainless steel door and cabinet, vertical handle and adjustable leveling legs.
  • Choose the left-hinged BIM47OS or right-hinged BIM47OSRHD. The door is reversible following the model manual. Gallery photos show the left-hinged configuration.
  • Manufacturer-listed production: up to 50 lb per 24 hours. Ice-bin capacity: 25 lb.
  • Electrical: 115 V AC, 60 Hz; manufacturer-listed rated current: 4.8 A.
  • Legacy refrigerant: R134a, 3.88 oz.
  • Net weight: 100 lb.
  • UL and ULC electrical listings; ETL-S sanitation listing to NSF-12. Summit's legacy literature identifies commercial ENERGY STAR certification for this configuration.
  • Manufacturer specification-table dimensions: 14½ inches wide × 23¼ inches deep × 33 inches high.
  • Depth with handle: 25¼ inches. Depth with door open 90°: 36¾ inches.
  • Interior: 12 inches wide × 16 inches deep × 18½ inches high.

These are appliance measurements, not finished cutout dimensions. Confirm the actual unit and leveling height before constructing the enclosure. For undercounter installation, allow at least 2½ inches behind the unit, ¼ inch above it and 3/16 inch at each side. Keep the front grille fully open and preserve access to pull the appliance out for service.

Have qualified personnel install the unit. Supply cold potable water through a ¼-inch line with a shutoff valve, at 15–80 psi and 41–90°F, and provide a suitable drain. The legacy manual specifies a maximum pump rise of 59 inches or a horizontal run of 59 inches; plan routing using the manual and local plumbing requirements.

Use a dedicated, grounded 115 V, 60 Hz supply on a 15-amp circuit. Do not use an adapter or extension cord. Place the unit in a well-ventilated, sheltered location protected from wind, rain and water spray, away from grills or other heat sources. The manual requires ambient temperatures above 50°F and below 100°F.

The ice bin is not a freezer: ice gradually melts and drains away. Clean the water system and bin regularly, and follow the manual's shutdown and winterization instructions.

Summit's legacy specifications list a one-year parts-and-labor warranty and five-year compressor coverage. The extended compressor coverage is for the part only. Eligibility, installation, geographic and other restrictions apply; consult the complete warranty terms.
